Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Rocket VPN (referred to as 'this Service' or 'we') handles personal information when you download, install, and use the mobile application (referred to as the 'App'). We provide the service under principles of necessity, transparency, and data minimization, and we protect your privacy within the scope of this policy.
When you download and launch the App, the system may collect necessary operational data, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device operating system version, in-app access paths, connection status, and session duration. To recommend routes and improve connection quality, we may process approximate device location information. This data is used for: 1. Geolocation services: recommending suitable routes based on Rocket VPN's node distribution; 2. Performance optimization: identifying regional connection issues through anonymized aggregate data; 3. Service communication: sending important updates, security notices, or service changes through your registered email or username. Sensitive information is handled according to this policy and applicable law.
We transmit aggregated or anonymized data only to necessary third-party service providers, such as Google Play Services and Firebase, for crash analysis, statistics, and feature improvement. Except in the following cases, we do not share personal information with third parties: 1. Compliance with legal process or regulatory requirements; 2. Protection of users, property, or investigation of fraud; 3. Cooperation with entrusted service providers who are bound by confidentiality obligations. To stop data collection, remove the App through your device's standard uninstall process. After uninstallation, the App will not generate new operational data.
User-provided data is retained during the active service period and for a reasonable retention period afterward. To cancel your account and delete personal information, contact our privacy team at [email protected]. The App is not intended for children under 13. If we discover that such information was collected by mistake, we will delete it as soon as possible. Guardians may contact us at the same email address. We use access controls, encrypted transmission, and reasonable physical and electronic safeguards to protect data confidentiality.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time due to regulatory or business changes. Please review this page regularly. Continued use after changes are published means you accept the revised policy. This policy takes effect on October 4, 2025. If you have questions or suggestions about our privacy practices, contact the Rocket VPN team by email at [email protected].
